Domain Registration is the yearly fee you pay to claim your website name on the internet. For example, we pay for “scotiasystems.com” which gives us the right to run a website and have email using that name.
Once you have a domain name, you then need somewhere to run your website. This is called hosting, and we offer space on a Toronto based server. Our standard WordPress hosting plan includes all the services you need to get started, including nightly backups and super fast loading.
In addition to this we’re thrilled to offer a WordPress Maintenance plan to keep your site updated and secure. This can be very involved and complicated, but we make this simple by automating tasks like updating plugins. Using a “Smart Update” technology, we’re able to test a plugin update on a staging site and make sure it works, before applying the update to your live site. We’re also able to offer automated virus scanning and 24×7 website monitoring. This maintenance package also includes an initial audit and update of your site to make sure it’s secure.
